Conditions of warranty, sales & repairs

Please read these carefully as it contains important information about services as manufacturers

ALL PRODUCTS REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF KAWANA CHLORINATOR SPARES P/L UNTIL PAID FOR IN FULL. NO ORDERS WILL BE PROCESSED OR SHIPPED UNTIL FULL PAYMENT IS MADE ON OUTSTANDING INVOICES.

THROUGHOUT OUR CATALOGUE LISTINGS THE USE OF PRODUCT NAMES & PHOTOS IS A DESCRIPTIVE GUIDE ONLY, & IN NO WAY INTENDS TO INFER OR SUGGEST THAT ANY OF THE PRODUCTS ARE THE ORIGINAL AS PRODUCED BY ANY OTHER MANUFACTURER.

Warranty and installation of cells

  • Domestic cells come with a FULL Two (2) year warranty.
  • Commercial cells come with a FULL One (1) year warranty
  • WARRANTY WILL START FROM DATE OF INSTALLATION.

Warranty will be voided if

  • The cell is not cared for properly, eg: not cleaned when necessary (standard and self cleaning models) & hard abrasives used
  • Connected in reverse – positive terminals put on the negative connector and negative terminal put on positive connector or if installed on a self cleaning chlorinator box. If in doubt please check and confirm with us or with your pool shop service technician if your cell is installed correctly before using it
  • The lead connectors going into cell terminals are loose, corroded, have wires exposed or are dirty. This will create high heat and will melt the plastic insert/cap of the cell and cause a leak from the terminal connection. Please check your lead connections on a regular basis and make sure connectors are tight and clean.

Warranty claims and processing for cells

  • Cells must be returned to us for inspection before we can honour any warranty claims. Customer must return the faulty cell back to us before we can process any warranty, repair or warranty repair claims*

  • Freight charges for the return postage on any warranty, warranty repair or repair claims remain customers’ responsibility
  • If warranty claim is approved, we take the responsibility to repair or replace the faulty cell and ship it back to the customer under warranty
  • If warranty is voided, freight charges for the return postage, and all the cost of the repairs or replacement carried out of cells remain customers responsibility**

Distributors

Please do not replace warranty, warranty repair or repair cells to your customers out of your stock supply. Please arrange for your customers to send these items directly back to us for warranty, warranty repair or repair inspection. Any freight charges for the return postage are the customers’ responsibility. ***

***Conditions apply. In the event of urgent warranty claim you will be charged for all warranty replacement items and freight. We will issue a credit note upon receiving the original warranty claim item.

Repairs carried out on cells

  • Cell testing in our factory is free of charge
  • All necessary repairs will be quoted to the customer and when quote is approved repairs will be processed

Warranty and installation on K – Chlor Digital Gold Chlorinator

Your K – Chlor Chlorinator carries the following warranty should a fault occur due to faulty materials or manufacture.

Kawana Chlorinator Spares warrants the original purchaser of the control panel and cell electrode, whether personal or commercial use, for a period of (see warranty period below), from the date of purchase should the purchaser disclose that this particular equipment failed due to faulty materials or manufacture.

The equipment under warranty claim must be returned to Kawana Chlorinator Spares for repair or replacement. Costs associated with freight and incidental charges resulting from goods being returned to

Kawana Chlorinator Spares are at the customer’s expense and Kawana Chlorinator Spares will cover the cost of returning the equipment to the customer. The warranty does not apply to any material supplied or workmanship performed by others in the process ofinstalling the equipment. Nor does it apply if the equipment has been repaired or altered by anyone other than Kawana Chlorinator Spares personnel or a Kawana Chlorinator Spares Representative. This warranty does not apply if the equipment has been subject to misuse or misapplication.

The warranty applies to materials and manufacture only. This warranty does not cover an act of god,i.e. storm and tempest, lightning strike, floods, tsunami, earthquake etc. Kawana Chlorinator Spares or its agent will replace at no charge, all parts, which show faulty materials or manufacture faults. The foregoing constitutes the entire liability of Kawana Chlorinator Spares to the original owner of the equipment. There are no other warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose other than those contained herein.

ln no event will Kawana Chlorinator Spares be liable to the original or subsequent owners either directly or as an in demnit or, or any direct, incidental or consequential loss, damage or economic loss, damage or injury to any person or property arising out of or relating to the equipment or any parts supplied in the equipment, except as expressly stated herein. No other person, or company or organisation is authorised to make any warranties, guarantees or representations, or allowed to allow any exceptions to this warranty, or assume any other liability or obligation on behalf of Kawana Chlorinator Spares in connection with the equipment. This warranty shall not extend to any expenditure incurred.

The rights and remedies conferred by this warranty are in addition to those conferred under AustralianConsumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss ordamage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty Period K – Chlor Digital Gold

  • Domestic Power pack 4 Years
  • Cell electrode 4 years or 10,000hrs whichever comes first
  • Commercial Power pack 4 Years
  • Cell electrode 4 Years or 10,000hrs whichever comes first

Repairs carried out on all other chlorinators

  • Chlorinator testing in our factory is free of charge
  • All necessary repairs will be quoted to the customer and when quote is approved repairs will be processed

  • Customer name, address and contact number are essential.
  • Please contact us direct to enquire about pricing on any item in our catalogue
  • Kawana Chlorinator Spares have a policy to advise a Recommended Retail Price to its retail customers
  • New customers who wish to open a 30 days EOM account must complete a Credit Application Form (please find link below) and mail or email it back to us for approval. Once approved a new account will be set up.

Freight Charges

  • Freight applies to all new generic replacement cells, new chlorinators and all repairs.
  • Freight charges for the return of warranty items back to us for repair or replacement will remain customers’ responsibility
  • A minimum charge will apply if a repair job is quoted on & the job is not completed.
  • Our main freight carriers are Fast Way Couriers and Australia Post. Please contact us prior to ordering or sending back warranty and repair items if you wish to arrange your own transport carrier
